Choose a Registered Health Care Professional.
In the right hands treatments have a good safety record. In the wrong hands, the results are much less predictable. Ask to see the Health Care Practitioners credentials. What experience does the Practitioner have, and are they registered with a governing body? Do they know what to do in an emergency and have they got appropriate kit? Is it legal?

Check for appropriate insurance.
Specialists should have appropriate medical indemnity insurance.

Visit the clinic first.
You must feel comfortable so take advantage of Consultations. Is it calm, peaceful, clean and safe or a rented back room that is not patient centred for cosmetic treatments?

It is not painful!
It is a treatment that requires no anaesthetic/ numbing as it’s fairly comfortable and quick. Injections are very shallow, meaning that it is injected just below the surface of the skin and into the target muscle, where it remains.

There is hardly any downtime!
Minimal recovery time and effective results are two of the treatment’s most alluring features. Recovery time will vary depending on the treatment type you receive, however this is generally limited to reducing activity afterwards and keeping the area clean. Any redness, raised injection points subside by the time you get home. The treatment has been in use for decades and continues to be researched.

It is temporary, and that reassures people!
The effects last on average 4 months with a range of 3-6 months. Maintenance treatments are therefore required to maintain the look. Consistency will lead to longevity!
